I only create these meatballs using 4 ingredients: the minced meat, 1 egg, some breadcrumbs and a small boiled potato. In an oven proof dish lay a pool over marinara sauce.

Bake the meatballs once formed in a 350F oven for about 15 minutes until cooked through. Then you form the mixture into golf ball sized meatballs. Place the formed meatballs on a parchment lined baking sheet. I also added a small potato to the minced meat mix this time, which allows the meatballs to stay more compact and also helps me in using less breadcrumbs. Making Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs: You start by mixing together the meatball ingredients in a large bowl. What can beat such a tasty dish! I call this version a Meatballs alla Sorrentina, because of the usage of mozzarella right at the end of the cooking procedure, which is the best moment for the cheese to start melting and make the whole thing irresistible. This is not the classic meatballs recipe (you may want to check my other video here for that), but a special edition where I combine the typical meatballs in tomato sauce with some melting mozzarella. 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 2 large onions, finely chopped 2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese 3. Pour half of the meatballs and pasta into a baking dish, top with half of the grated mozzarella and pour the rest of the meatballs and pasta. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer meatballs for another 12 minutes, or until cooked through.

When the sauce gets thicker after about 10 minutes of simmering, add in the cooked pasta and stir well. Pour marinara into the skillet then add the meatballs to the sauce.
